Strength in Numbers

I have more thoughts on this recession the world insists we’re going to collectively experience. If you haven’t yet heard my Priestess Perspective on economics and the energetics of the cycles of recessions, you might want to consider joining The Temple, it’s caused some quite major lightbulb moments on how to view and respond!
It’s foolish to pretend you’re immune to the recession. To do so is to admit to being an insensitive narcissist. Which to be fair, if that’s your jam, rock on. I’m not here to judge. Narcissists get a bad rep but at least they live a nice life in their heads!
However, if you’re a sensitive little sausage, like me, and most of the Ask Harriette client fam… well you’ve probably felt your clients tightening their belts, you’ve probably tightened yours, and you might be aware of a collective narrative of “oh shit, what’s coming, let me just freeze (literally & figuratively) while I wait for the other boot to drop”.
AND… I don’t blame you!! We’ve been subject to psychological warfare for nearly 3 years now. You’re not bad or wrong to be having this response to the current status quo.
BUT… what you might also be noticing, in the coaching industry at least, is that people are being drawn to spend their money with the “big guns”, i.e. the ones who are showcasing their 6 figure and multi-6 figure cash months. Here’s why:
When humans feel they’re in a vulnerable position, they seek strength from someone who appears to have lots of it
When humans are feeling the financial pinch, they seek strength, aka wisdom, knowledge, insight, experience, etc from someone who appears to have lots of it
^^^ which is why the coaches who were already making lots of money before the current “global recession” are going to thrive in this season, and why those who perhaps aren’t making so much, are going to shrink in fear and be more susceptible to the collective narrative of FREEZE!
Here’s what you get to learn from this and how you get to position yourself:
You’re already STRONG at something… it doesn’t have to be making money, it can be anything
Showcase your strengths and sell that
Stop trying to sell something you haven’t already mastered for yourself
Allow your strength to be a genuine source of insight, support, wisdom, help etc for someone else
Money is not the only thing people are seeking right now.
People are also seeking calm nervous systems, knowledge on how to lead themselves, more faith, energetic & emotional intelligence, a feeling of calm and peace and trust, AND if they feel they can get that from you rather than from the “big guns” then they’re definitely going to more inclined to pay your prices rather than theirs.
BUT ONLY IF THEY GET A FEELING OF STRENGTH FROM YOU.
Strength is not something you can fake. You have to believe it, you have to feel it, otherwise your misalignment and pretense will be smelt a mile off.
When we go through these seasons, especially where money is concerned, people are FAR more alert and mindful about what they’re spending their money on. They want to invest wisely.
Give them the opportunity to invest wisely in the strength that you’re providing for them!
We can all be HUGE supports of each other. Any good economist will tell you the quickest way out of any recession is to keep spending.
You can actually be immune to the recession if you can cultivate an inner feeling of strength, portray that strength with courage, conviction & 100% sincerity, and provide a much needed pillar of support for others during these times.
Please be mindful that in your own state of FREEZE you contract your energy and become more susceptible to the collective narratives of lack & scarcity which makes it harder for you to cultivate your own strength and sell your strength. Please ensure you are also being supported in all the ways you need to be. Find the teachers, coaches & mentors you vibe with and who can provide you the strength you seek to provide for others. We can build one hell of a support system, together!
Intimate relationships are key… where possible get yourself in a room where you can have close proximity to the sources of strength.
My love always,
Harriette
