Black Lives Matter. It continues. And this time, it won’t stop. It can’t stop until white people take the responsibility to actively do something about it. We must keep learning and growing and educating each other.
You’ve created so much change in your own life, it’s time to put that same energy into the lives of others.
? I’ll bet when you wanted to upgrade your financial reality, you invested in one of my courses or took one of my free trainings.
? I’ll bet when you wanted to lose weight or get fit, you hired a PT, committed to a workout plan, or maybe just used one of those fitness apps.
?I’ll bet when you were trying to get pregnant you suddenly upped your health practices and paid attention to your menstrual cycle.
?I’ll bet when you tried to change someone’s mind about something that was important to you, you didn’t shut up about it.
? I’ll bet you when you really really wanted something, you did whatever it took to get it.
Am I right? Right.
The response to BLM has been varied to say the least. A true representation of where we are today as humans. Some people are diving into full-on activism. Others are showing solidarity. Some are being tokenistic, and a few are avoiding it altogether as if it’s not a problem on their radar.
And for those of us who are diving in head-first, we’ve likely said a few insensitive things, misunderstood some stuff, and proved our ignorance.
It’s OK to get it wrong, but it’s important that we keep learning & growing afterwards.
If you made some headway in one of my money courses and then had a slip up, you wouldn’t give up on your financial dreams, would you?
Getting something wrong, or being ignorant, is not an excuse to stop trying and learning and growing.
And there’s something more important than you and your perfect white world calling you right now (don’t even come at me with your pity parties… you don’t have a clue what it’s like to be black so don’t even try… neither do I, for the record).
Black. Lives. Matter.
Do more. Try harder. Change.
As promised I’m keeping the doors open on MCM until the close of play today. I’ve said all I need to say on it. If you haven’t jumped in yet because of fear or money/time concerns, you missed the point, and you’ll likely stay stuck in your pity party until you do something about it.
Sounds harsh, but it’s true.
I don’t have the time or space to pander to the privileged needs of someone who can’t decide if they actually want to create change in their own lives (some people don’t even get that choice), because if you’re not creating change in your own life, I’m not sure I can count on you to make a change in other people’s lives either. And that right now is my priority. Actual. Conscious. Change. For the better!
People who invest in themselves invest in the greater good, even when it’s uncomfortable. And boy is this uncomfortable (talking about BLM again), but if you want to see real change in the world in your lifetime, you need to act now. Time is running out. You’re a grown-ass adult. Let’s move.
