“I’m not sure” – the plague of self doubt
More deadly than the coronavirus… it steals away life without you even realising what’s happening.
DISCLAIMER: I’m not going to engage in a coronavirus debate… I’ve been down so many rabbit holes I feel like I’m living in Alice in Wonderland right now.
The only virus I’m interested in talking about is the one that riddles your mind with doubt & uncertainty and eats away at your sovereignty and power.
The plague of self-doubt.
Looks and sounds like this:
? “I’m not sure I can stretch to the extra $£€ every month”
? “I’ve now replaced my initial excitement (read Soul-pull) with something more sensible and I’ve decided not to invest in myself right now (read termite infected me again)”
? “I’ve looked at the finances and I just can’t make this work”
? “I’m too freaking scared to jump”
? “I really want it BUT…”
Sometimes the termites eat away at so much self-confidence that these words don’t even get to be articulated…. simply entertaining the idea of expanding your life into ‘more’ gets shut down before it can start forming a dialogue of curiosity and possibility.
I’m writing this now after I suffered my own little moment of self-doubt and self-denial.
? Stephen and I are looking to sell our home in London and move into our forever-family home somewhere just outside London. The somewhere is yet to be determined.
Browsing various property websites this evening, I kept setting the filters to search for property between £2,500,000 and £4,000,000.
And then curiosity took over and I decided to look at what existed beyond £4,000,000… because M.O.R.E. vibes right?!
Well it turns out what I REALLY want is around £5,000,000.
Enter the TERMITES!! ??????
? “But, Harriette, you don’t even know if you can afford 4million yet, let alone 5 million”
? “If you want something that luxurious you’ll have to look much further afield than the commuter belt”
? “If you’re going to buy something at 5million, you’re going to have to pull off a miracle, and fast… not possible”
? “Maybe you won’t be able to get what you want, you’ll have to settle for less, buying a £4,000,000 home is still an achievement”
OH. MY. GOD. TERMITES. SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP.
Not only am I member of the “I always get what I want” club… I founded the god damn club!
Now I appreciate my ‘problem’ is a problem everyone wants to have. This is not a sob story. But it’s proof the self-doubt termites exist at every level.
The difference is knowing what to do with them and going for what you want regardless of whether it’s perceptibly possible or not.
I will have what I want. What I have to pay to get that is actually irrelevant because I’m only available for exactly what I want and nothing less. I am abundantly supported in all the ways so naturally the Universe will just rearrange itself so my desires are fulfilled.
This is the case for EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US. You can have everything you want, but you have to start in the direction of it.
Empowering the termites that live in your brain and eat away at your belief is not the one. They breed anxiety and stress and fear. They live off the victim status… the idea that success and abundance is for everyone else but not for you.
?The termites job is literally to convince you that you’re powerless, controlled by external events and environments… wait did I just describe our government heading up a global pandemic?! ?
Sorry. The sarcasm is rife tonight.
But think for a second at how angry you get at your government when they do stupid stuff that makes no sense (I recommend using the Covid-19 pandemic as a good reference point)… do you get just an angry at the termites when they tell you equally stupid stuff like…?
- You can’t have what you want
- It’s not possible for you
- You can’t afford it
- You’re scared / anxious / fearful
- It’s not sensible
No of course you don’t! You go along with it. You believe that utter twaddle bullshit rubbish like it’s the god damn gospel. And then you hammer the nails in your own coffin when you commit the greatest sin of all…
SETTLING ⚰️
When you settle for less.
☠️ Less than you want. Less than you desire. Less than you deserve.
Because your fear convinced you that’s best.
If you’re giving your power away to tiny lying little termites in your head… where else are you giving your power away?!
Claim your sovereignty babe! Claim your right to M.O.R.E.!
Stop with the bullshit excuses and beliefs… you’ve got a whole party of parasites in your head running around with glee as they successfully control your reality in a way that serves them. … I mean we could literally be describing the House of Commons here (not sure what the US reference is… the room where the idiotic politicians congregate to make stupid decisions about the rest of the population… House of Representatives?!).
